catch up post
August 16, 2008
Wow… um… I haven’t writen here in a while so, here’s what has happened.
I went to Disneyland, then the San Diego Zoo, then Sea World, then Universal Studios in California for ten days. Awesome trip, had a lot of fun, and took a lot of pictures.
Since then I’ve sat on my couch playing video games, I have officialy decided that Portal is the best game ever, I’ve started training with my brother up at the field by my house for football, played around on guitar trying to write a song and… that’s about it.
So now you’re caught up and I have nothing else to say.
Returning Home.
July 12, 2008
Well, I just got back from one of the greatest places on earth, WPBC! I had another awesome week there. I grew closer to God, and got to know him better, I got to know some really cool people, and had an amazing time too. But as always, I wish I could have stayed there longer.
Somehow, my team, Rome, lost to Sparta. I’m still wondering how that happened, because they were behind by a lot of points until it was announced, and my team was way out in front, But whatever. In one challenge, we did high jump off the dock, into the lake, over a pool noodle. somehow I did like a flip over the noodle, every time, and won, because I beat Marc.
I was in a cabin with my cousin, Marc, again, and with AJ, John, Anthony, Daniel, Owen, Braydon, my brother, Stu; and Tim. So it was pretty awesome.
Camp!!
July 5, 2008
Tomorrow is the first day of camp. I get to go to Whispering Pines Bible Camp, the greatest place on earth, for the fourth year in a row! It is gonna be awesome!
Going to WPBC is always fun, I get to meet new people who are also Christian, and I always feel that I’m able to grow in my faith. I get to go with my brother, Stu, and my cousin, Marc.
Hopefully, I get a good cabin, and good councilors, like Chad, Mark, Kevin, or Dave. But I’ll be happy either way.
Well, this will be my last post for a week… so… Yeah. I really doubt anyone is reading this other than me, so if you read this, leave a comment.
My Weekend
July 2, 2008
So, alot of things have happened recently.
Lets start with youth. Friday was the last day of youth, which is kinda depressing, but at least I know that I’ll see everyone next year, but apparently there might not be youth next year, but whatever. After the barbeque, a group of us were going to go to see Wall-E, but we missed the last show so we went back and hung out with everybody for a bit longer.
Saturday. Well, I went to AXE Music to try out the Ibanez ART300, then played some other guitars that I was thinking of getting. But none were as good as the ART300, so I ended up buying. It is a more beautiful guitar than in the pictures.
Sunday to Tuesday, I went to Lethbridge with my cousins to see my other family there. It turned out that one of my cousins from Lethbridge was at her friends cabin in Whitefish, so the trip was kinda boring. And on Canada day, there was a flash flood in Lethbridge, luckily the house I was staying in wasn’t effected by the flood, but my cousin’s house was so, that’s too bad. Hopefully they can fix the damage to their home.
So that’s what has happened recently.
Guitar Dreams
June 27, 2008
Well, time to talk about the guitars I want.
I have a dilemma here, what guitar to get next! I’m thinking of three guitars right now, the PRS Tremonti, the PRS Mira, or the Ibanez ART300. I Don’t have enough to get either of the PRS’s now, but I have enough for the ART300, so I’m stuck thinking about whether or not to continue saving for one of the PRS’s or getting the ART300 now.
I’ve played both the PRS Tremonti and Mira, and 2 of my favourite guitarists play them (Ben Kasica [Skillet] and Mark Tremonti [Alter Bridge]), so I know I like how they feel and sound. I haven’t played the ART300 yet, I’ve just heard it being played, so if I’m going to get that I’ll need to find one I can play first.
I need to know some good guitars for the kind of music I play though, so I don’t get a guitar that sounds amazing, but I have no reason to ever play it. Right now, I’m Listening to a lot of Christian rock, like Skillet, Pillar, Disciple, Demon Hunter, and stuff like that, as well as some Killswitch Engage, and Alter Bridge. So ya, if anyone has comments on good guitars for playing that kind of music, leave a comment.
However right now my bank card isn’t working for some reason, so I have have to sit and save until I go get a new one. This will give time to think about this, but whenever I get a chance to sit and think about something for an extended period of time, I always end up second guessing myself, and sometimes end up doing something that I’ll regret.
Last Day of School
June 26, 2008
Well today was my last day of junior high. You would think I’d be happy, but I’m reathlly quite depressed. I have actually been dreading this day for the past month or two. Because it meant that I have to get my report card and give it to my parents, good thing my marks were better than i expected. Today was also the last day that I’ll probably ever see a lot of people, because we’re going to different high schools. I’m really going to miss most people, esspecially these three girls, Bri Adamson, Erin Burms, and Jeanine Brito. I really like these three, and I’ve had a crush on them for the past three years. This year, I finally built up the courage to ask Bri out, and she said no. I don’t really blame her, because I’ve kinda a been a creep to her and Jeanine in the past. I think that Erin kinda liked me, but I blew it today by (as usual) being really shy. Now I’ll never know if she actually liked me or not.
I had a good time yesterday at Dominic’s house, playing Halo 3 with a bunch of friends. Too bad he’s going to Bowness for high school, but at least we might see eachother on the football field next year, if our schools are in the same division.
Hopefully I can see a lot of these people again, but for now, Í’m wallowing in my sorrow and regret.
